The pearls were then set in 14kt gold ringed cups which float on a 33mm 14kt gold hoop. The pearls are 10mm x 11mm and are of a bluish green color with soft peacock overtones. The pearls are of very high quality…real beauties! These earrings are for pierced ears. Tahitian pearls come in a wide variety of colors, shapes and sizes. These spectacular earring feature two truly gorgeous Tahitian black pearls set in 22kt gold. The richly colored 22kt gold cap and ear-hook are hand crafted in Bali and perfectly complement the exotic look of the Tahitian pearls. The pearls are 10mm x 12mm bluish-green pearls with peacock overtones. The earrings measure approximately 3.3cm from top to bottom. These pearls were grown in the lush tropical lagoons of the Tuamotu or Gambier archipelagos of French Polynesia. Pearls as beautiful as these two don’t come along every day. These earrings feature two very good quality pink freshwater pearls measuring 10mm x 12mm. Freshwater pearls are appreciated by those in the know for the fact that they are composed of 100% nacre. This is in contrast to virtually all cultured saltwater pearls which have shell bead nuclei inside which is coated with nacre. The challenge in choosing such pearls is in deciding how thick the nacre is, since this will determine the beauty and durability of the pearl long-term.
