This 18” (46cm) Tahitian “black” pearl necklace has 37 Tahitian pearls and 10 sterling silver spacers. The pearls range in diameter from 9 mm to over 10mm with the average being around 9.5mm. The length of these generally oval shaped pearls varies from 8.5mm to over12mm. These pearls are generally baroque (irregular) oval-like in shape with pronounced circlé, a shape characteristic which gives Tahitian pearls their unique look. The color of these pearls is generally classified as “peacock”, meaning that they display multiple colors including; green, aubergine (purplish), silver, copper, and black.
