The name given these earrings; “Eeva” means; “The Star that Rises in the Sky” in Tahitian, and we believe it fits. Hanging beneath a 16mm silver ring like the moon, is a single 9mm Tahitian black pearl. The design is classic and will work with any outfit. The metal is Sterling Silver and the pearl is green in color and a perfect size and shape for earrings.
To the early Tahitians observations of nature were reflected in their names and their overall philosophy of life. When they discovered Black Pearls, they ascribed special importance to them assuming that they were a gift from the Gods to mankind. The view that pearls had a divine origin and special powers was shared in other parts of the world where pearls were found as well. Pearls have been thought to bring health, wealth, happiness.
