This attractive freshwater pearl bracelet is amazingly versatile, it works equally well with a casual or dressy outfits. The black leather cord comes from Greece and is of the highest quality. The 10.5 to 11.5mm cultured freshwater pearl is flanked by two 14kt gold rondelles held in place by knots on either side. The pearl itself is greenish in color similar to many Tahitian pearls. The clasp is a white mother-of-pearl cabochon that slips through a leather loop.
Freshwater pearls are appreciated for being composed entirely of nacre. There is no bead nucleus in the majority of cultured freshwater pearls which not only gives them superior durability but very often; great luster. Freshwater pearls are produced throughout the world but the majority of commercially available freshwater pearls come from China. The prices of freshwater pearls are far below comparable quality salt-water pearls for reasons of low production cost and competitive forces.
