18 inch White 8-8.5mm Pearl Necklace
A classic white pearl necklace such as this one is the mainstay of every jewelry box. This 18 inch necklace features 8-8.5mm white freshwater pearls matched with a classic 14k gold fluted ball-clasp. The length is perfect for average to larger sized women who wants a traditional princess length necklace. Freshwater pearls, unlike their saltwater cousins (such as Akoya pearls), are composed of almost 100% nacre. This means that they will hold their beauty and last a lifetime or longer.
This necklace is like the ETINI Necklace except that it features two pearls rather than one. The two cultured Tahitian black pearls measure 11-12mm across and display a silver-green color with overtones of aubergine (purplish). The pearls are framed in by sterling silver beads all of which are threaded onto a 1.5mm black leather cord. The necklace has no clasp but rather slips on over the head. Two sliding knots make it adjustable between 16” (40.5cm) and 30” (76cm) so that it can be put on and then tightened to the desired length.

The French-Tahitians call this marking Cirćle and feel that it gives Tahitian pearls their unique character. This necklace can be worn full “Opera” length. Or doubled up (or double up and twisted) for a dramatic two-strand look. The clasp ads to the class of this piece depicting two Tahitian motu or islets. The “islet” rings join when slid together at the point of a narrow slit in each ring. Pearls are unique, each one a distinct individual.
